As of October 1 The Disposal Method for Computers Has Changed Under the Law for the Promotion of Effective Utilization of Recyclable Resources, "PC Recycling," a program for the collection and recycling of personal computers, has started. Please note that the city will no longer collect computers as noncombustible garbage or Large-sized Garbage. "PC Recycling" is a program that aims to reduce waste and promote the effective use of recyclable resources by recycling used computers in cooperation with manufacturers and those residents who are consumers. Based on the Law for Promotion of Effective Utilization of Recylable Resources, personal computers will no longer be collected as Large-sized Garbage as of October 1 (Wednesday), in similar manner to the four designated appliances designated by the Law for Recycling of Specified Kinds of Home Appliances (TVs, refrigerators, laundry machines and air conditioners).
